The annual Rotary District 7390 Rotary Foundation dinner was held at Central Penn College on November 30th and was attended by eight members of the club.
 
The annual Rotary District 7390 Rotary Foundation dinner was held at Central Penn College on November 30th and was attended by eight members of the club.
 
This dinner marked the beginning of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Foundation which was started in 1917 with a donation of $26.50. 
 
The attendees were treated to a "special" guest speaker, Rotary President Arch Klumph, who spoke at the 1917 International Convention in Atlanta and proposed the creation of the foundation. 
 
During the program, District 7390 Rotary Clubs were recognized for their many achievements in support of the Rotary Foundation and their work on local and international projects that were supported by Rotary Foundation funds. The Group Vocational Service Exchange (GVSE) team to Australia told about their experience. Peg Sennett was awarded the Citation for Meritorious Service for her work in support of the Rotary Foundation, her many mission trips, and longterm chair of the GVSE program for the district.
