Polio Plus Fund Raising Project a Great Success

The Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg under the leadership of Dave Burns has concluded a fund raising project for Polio Plus in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the founding of The Rotary Foundation in 1917 at the International Convention in Atlanta. At the end of March, a total of $1,945 was raised for Polio Plus.
Dave Burns is shown with some copies of the "ThisClose" pictures which have been taken as part of the fund raiser.
Members participated in the project by making a contribution of at least $26.50 to the Polio Plus Fund at the Rotary Foundation and by having a picture made showing that we are "ThisClose" to eliminating Polio from the world. An insert of our President Mark Dixon picture is shown above. The $26.50 amount is the amount that was the first contribution to the Rotary Foundation in 1917. The project was formally concluded at the end of March 2017 with a total of $1,945 contributed toward Polio Plus.
